About Us
Ancestra Studio was born from love, creativity, and a moment in life that asked us to slow down and hold what matters most.
Over the past months, my mom and I have been walking through her diagnosis of stage IV cancer together. In the middle of something heavy and uncertain, we found something unexpectedly beautiful: creating side by side. What started as a way to bring light, purpose, and joy into our days became something bigger than either of us imagined.
Ancestra Studio is a clothing and lifestyle brand built entirely from my mom’s original artwork. Every piece you see is a reflection of her spirit, her imagination, and her way of seeing the world. This is art that has lived in sketchbooks and on canvases for years, now given new life as something wearable, shared, and alive.
We created Ancestra with three intentions:
- First, to honor my mom’s wish to donate a portion of proceeds to cancer research, supporting others who are walking this path and helping create hope for better outcomes.
- Second, so that one day, when we gather to celebrate my mom’s life, we can fill the room with her art in a living form, worn, loved, and carried forward by the people who know and love her.
- Third, to build something lasting. A living, breathing project that carries her legacy of joy, creativity, and connection forward for years to come.
Ancestra means legacy. It means honoring the women who came before us and the wisdom they leave behind. It means transforming love into something tangible. Something you can wear. Something you can pass on. Something that holds memory and meaning.
This is more than a brand.
It is our way of saying: generational wisdom and love can become something that continues long after a moment has passed.
